Ambitious dating
With all the hype around The League, I thought to give it a try to find out what it is all about. The League was launched back in 2015 by Amanda Bradford who grew tired of her online dating experiences. I mean I would not blame her considering the current climate where it can be difficult to find the right dating app.
The elite website claims to help breed power couples by bringing ambitious and successful singles together. The dating platform is widely used across the globe. However, it is super selective which means that the waiting process can take a long time.
The League aims to promote career and ambition by cultivating an egalitarian relationship between the sexes. So, if you want to use an elitist Tinder, The League should be right up your alley.
The catch is that you need to be good-looking, privileged, and rich to attract someone.
It is something that might discourage a few people. However, if those are the things that you are looking for, then, The League has got you covered. Read my experience with the dating platform to determine if it is the right fit for you or not.

Five matches per day
The League offers plenty of features. It is very user-friendly. The application process is rather straightforward. You have to create a profile just like the one you would create on Tinder. I had to connect my Facebook and LinkedIn profiles and select my preferences for matches based on various factors.
What I found intriguing about the app is that I was only shown five matches each day. Although there was an option for organizing events and creating groups, I did not test it out. There is even a feature on the app for women who want to freeze their eggs.
After I joined the website, I entered my demographics. Then, I had to choose between whether I am looking for Success and Wealth or Looks and Charm. It is up to you to decide whether to meet someone wealthy or young and sexy. Lastly, you will need also need to enter your email and birthday as well as upload your picture.
After this, I was required to select the location, enter a description, and mention physical characteristics. If you know someone who is already a member of The League, they can recommend you to use the app which would allow you to bypass the application process altogether. Otherwise, you have to wait to get in.
Requirements must be met
When you join The League, you provide all your information including details about your ethnicity, religion, education, height, and age. I was also assigned a representative who answered app-related questions on my behalf.
To help recommend the right matches, The League scans your Facebook and LinkedIn profiles to review age, neighborhood, social influence, industries, professions, and degrees. Although it welcomes everyone, only those users are accepted who meet the requirements.
Cost
Anyone can sign up for The League for free. However, they have to wait to get accepted. Otherwise, you can pay to become a member. The longer the duration of your membership the less you would need to pay.
Common complaints about The League
The League does what is expected from it. The app caters to an elitist crowd. It might not be for everyone as the standard can be very high to get in and find someone. I did not find it to be a traditional dating site like Match.com or any other dating site. However, it offers what it claims.
If you are someone who cannot settle for less and is interested in finding someone rich and good-looking, you would find The League suitable.
The negative criticism surrounding The League does not impact its reputation as it is designed for the power conscious.
If that is not what you are looking for, there are a plethora of options including Bumble which gives women more power.
